Peterborough Golf Club - Weekly Comps
A 9 hole, cliff top golf course with spectacular ocean views. Visitors are welcome. Men's comp is held on Sunday mornings for a 10am start and the ladies comp is held on Monday mornings also for a 10am start.

Terang Market – First Saturday of Every Month (except January)
Come along on the first Saturday of each month between 9am and 1pm. Beautiful avenues of oak, cottonwood poplars and planes adorn the streets of Terang. Enjoy this friendly relaxed market, both indoors and outdoors. Stalls include woodwork, jewellery, plants, crafts, home baking, produce, preserves, spinning, knitting, sewing, books, and more. Fancy Dress Competition - January
Held at the Peterborough Golf Club every Australia Day long weekend, the Fancy Dress Competition never disappoints!
A two dollar coin will secure entry for babies right through 15 years and over. Each year the crowd gets bigger and the costumes more and more creative! The Club's bar is open and the event is followed by a sausage sizzle for the children.
Sandcastle Competition - January
This has been an annual event on the Peterborough foreshore every Australia Day long weekend, for 70 years.
Age categories cater for toddlers through to 15 years and over, with a two dollar entry fee on the day. Once the allotted ‘build' time has ended, the crowd eagerly awaits the arrival of the Lady Mayoress of Bumblefun and her Lady in Waiting. These much-loved ladies judge the castles and award prizes to the lucky winners before heading to the ocean for their annual (fully clothed) swim.
Peterborough Tennis Tournament - January
Tournaments for children and adults are held every Australia Day long weekend at the public tennis courts on the corner of Macs and Irvine Streets. To enter these tournaments, you will need to put your name down for the draw at the Peterborough General Store or the Licensed Grocers, usually during the week prior to the tournament.
Warrnambool Cup Carnival - April / May
The Warrnambool May Racing Carnival is acknowledged as Australia's premier regional racing Carnival. The annual, three

Warrnambool Fun 4 Kids - June
Set across 2.5 acres of indoor school holiday fun, Fun4Kids is located in the heart of the Warrnambool CBD, at the corner of Liebig and Timor Streets and offers hundreds of activities and workshops for children of all ages, including tenpin bowling, kids sword fighting sessions, hands-on fun for pre-schoolers, kids cooking workshops, woodwork, Bollywood dance workshops and rock-climbing, along with a list of headline performing acts, every day, 10am - 5pm. There is something for everyone at the

Shipwreck Coast Golf Classic - November
The Shipwreck Coast Classic, over 36 holes, is fast becoming a must play tournament for many of Victoria's top golfing amateurs. The region offers some of the best natural attractions as well as two of the best golf courses in Victoria. Hosted by the Port Fairy and Warrnambool Golf Clubs.
